okay dokie. I know I haven't blogging for really long. sorry my friends.
Mid semester test just ended, only had 1 paper-accountings. seriously I dislike accountings.
Working in bakerzin now, learning alot of things. I like the environment and colleagues:))
I must learn very fast.. like really very fast.. looks impossible but actually its not so hard.

These two weeks are so packed! like thurs fri, next mon, wed, fri and so on.. all project meetings 10 to 8 that kind, as we aim to finish the projects by these 2 weeks so we have time to study for tests and do our individual.. okay-that means i have no time for christmas. OMG did I just say that. :(( grr.. looks like I have to miss new year also since I have a test before new year and 2 submissions on the 2 jan.

ohh! i forgot to say about my experience to biennale. Went there twice.

The art pieces there are freaking cool alright! i cant wait for the next biennale to come! but it will only come in 2010 because biennale in italian meant: every 2 years.

There's a few art pieces that really amazed me

1) salon: the artist used 2 rooms (one as a mirror image to the other one), so when u enter the room you will think that there's nothing ordinary about the salon but you will realise that one side of the "mirrors" are not mirrors! Its actually an illusion created by the artist, using another room, with exactly the same decor but mirror image. haha * have you seen cleo in mirror image!* it is really amazing!

2) There were another exhibit with everything knitted. they knitted a scooter okay! it is 3 dimensional!

3) One side of the detailed cutting of plastic flowers were very colourful as you walk down the sides and look from the other end.. the flowers were black!

wow points of this art piece:

a) The detailed cutting of the plastics, u can see how much did the artist focus on the details in this art piece.. (from the picture) *note: the height of one flower is about the length of a index finger only*

b) There are at least 1000 plastic flowers in that art piece!

c) One side is coloured and other side is black. Every flower is in different colour. the colours of the leaf and flowers are different too.

- I really wonder how did the artist colour the flowers or did he cut on coloured paper or colour the plastic after cutting? then how did he colour
one side but not affecting the other side since it's 2 dimensional ?

4) there are many many more art pieces that made me drop my jaw and deeply touched me.. Mayb I will share more if i have the time:))

erm. well recently my life is simple like : wake up-school-project-do assignments/study-sleep and repeat itself the next morning.. deprived of sleep and suffocated by the assignments deadlines and the huge of projects..!

well, culinary is reallyyy fun! haha much better than I thought it would be, nice and humourous chefs, delicious food, conducive environment. :))

Just want to say that I feel very glad to have really fantastic juniors in cya:)) arent I lucky?

Alot of people ask: hey how am I now? okay , I jus have to say I'm broke, broke, broke, stress and tired.
lost money in mahjong (lost all my luck after thailand trip, omg!)=broke,
Cant wake up in time and have to cab=more broke
No job= super broke
Stress= super alot of assignments, most started 2 days ago, so I'm dying
Tired= I started so late so I'm trying very hard to rush and to make it in time for deadline! I need sleep!!
grr!

Singapore is in recession. everyone is broke and will be really broke in the near future. Please stop spending money and start saving up alright, my friends! Now getting a job is not about high pay but getting the pay! grabb any job u can find and earn some money for future-study purpose or what so ever.

Last week I was sick and i sounded like a man. This week, many people around me were sick and I think I have spreaded my flu to them(e.g.vincent, sabby and susu)..! >.< omg i seriously feel very guilty. Pls recover soon! i love u guys, so i pray hard for u!

I know alot of people around me are not in veyr good mood these days. I hope everything just goes well for you people. I think time is the best medicine, be brave and strong. Always look on the bright side alright.

Never tried it before but heard that it is nice.

I am back from bangkok and i am officially broke because i spent so so much there..
Things are simply cheap. haha. i think i've bought enough stuff to last me for more than half a year. omg omg right.

School has started, things were better than i thought. haha meet some nice nice people and i hope everything will go well this sem. Hey hey all my friends, let's do well for this sem alright. :))

i had plans to go thailand this coming sunday.. but Thailand situation had worsen... bombs at parliament house.. road blocks.. oh man. what should i do?

F1 is over! but i guess the passion for race cars is stilll burning in our hearts yah! omg it was great. the results were rather unexpected though. hahaha working with tunglok kitchen and with some of my good friends are damn damn fun okay! i think all of us are missing the moments were we joke with the chefs.. runnin up and down esplanade with food as well as munching on the leftover buffet food. The food are simply delicious alright! lke the scallop dumplings, chocolate mousse and blah blah okay! :D

haha now its time to work very very hard for royal plaza to earn loads of money!! :D hehe. jia you!! ohh i'm also glad to know a new friend in RP. he is humorous, nice and he is a workaholic! isnt it great?! i'm elated to get such a fantastic working partner to work hard with me!!

F1 is coming! omg arent everybody excited!! haha the F1 period will be a crazy time for most of htm students. working for tunglok, stb, merdian, ritz and blahh.. most of us will be working 8 to 12 hrs for that few days i guess:)) lets jia you people!

okay and royal plaza will be removing the live size chocolate race car on the 30 sept.. i am gonna miss it for sure. those who haven seen such a big chocolate scrulpture pls faster go down and catch a glimpse of it before it is gone alright.

oh by the way, i went to Singapore flyer on the 30 aug to celebrate weiting, lynette and yuhan's birthday with marilyn. The view up there is definitely magnificient alright! haha.. but 30 bucks its really ex but well i guess its worth it for a first timer:)) and of course the people that u went with its a crucial factor to decide whether it is a fantastic experience :))

worked in royal plaza, saying good evening and smiling at guests became so natural that i almost smiled at strangers on my way home from work. haha

but really felt contented when guests replied your greetings:))
i think i am starting to love my job. hehe

well, i'm not taught on anything regarding operations or having any impt responsibilities on hand, or probably people think that i'm doing such a brainless task but greeting guests. Actually this is a very important role, in the perception of a guests. After a hectic day, probably what you need a moment of concern or some warmth greetings that lights your face with a smile:))

There so much to learn about people relations.
1) Always Talk lesser and LISTEN more.
2) Always ask and never assume
3) YES, its not a good answer always, providing the best answer with reason would be it.
4a) If you want to please your guests, pleased your loved ones first.
b) If you are able to please your parents who brought you to this earth, then shouldn't you learn to please the one that gives you the job(guests)
5) If people are unsatisfied, always ask for the reason, understand what they are thinking. This is because everyone has different views and perception about a thing. Only if your find the root of the problem, then you would be able to find the solution.
6) Always prompt questions to make people talk ( never force them too:))

I know the points above seems like common sense to many of you. Even to myself too. However, there are these are often the things that slipped our minds. I have learnt alot today, i hope to share. These words are not only for service providers but also for anyone. Build up your PR skills starting from your family and friends. :)) LOVE THEM!

okay yesterday had my accountings paper.. it was horrible. there are alot of things that i just couldnt rmb last min.. yesterday noon time the stupid flu bug caught me. i hate it man. i make it couldnt think properly. my head was so heavy and i couldnt even walk straight. i dont know wat got into me that make me went for acct. i should have taken mc.. sigh. then after exam i was so blur that i left my ezlink and ic somewhere in sch. lucky some nice people found it and returned it to me. phew. lucky me. okay now must study super hard to do well for tto paper! must get A alright! jia you all my friends!! last paper for year 2! and susu 3 more papers for u. study hard okay. i know u can do well!!

last CYA tuesday

Today is also the last week of CYA.
Next tuesday will be so different, no more leg pain from long hours of standing for SSM and CYA.
which also means no more fun.

The friendship of tuesday cya team is getting stronger for past 2 month.. when the passion for CYA is dying, these group of people start to make each other CYA days interesting, relighting the passion again and gave us motivation to work.. Now when everything is going well, CYA ends. Well, we will still meet up outside right:)) i'm sure we will.

we celebrated yoke theng's bday today. okay its really belated cos her real birthday was last thurs but we celebrated today. Had swensens' earthquake and brought her a "built a bear" bear:)) Hope she loves it! its really cute alright:))

I will miss you girls! almost cried can when me and jun jun leave our counter.. when we turn back to look at the airport and thought about all the good memories we had there.. sigh.. but really glad we had these memorable times! love all of you! especially you JUN JUN! 2 whole sems with you. i will miss u!! time really flies. :((

Really had fun and learnt alot. sometime the result doesnt really matter. what matters is the process. the result is just a recognition for our effort and performance, that what i feel:)) its abt teamwork! everyone its impt, today is impossible if anyone of us did not try our best.


I just hope we had more food to sell.. I'm so sorry for those who had travelled so far to sugarloaf but didnt manage to eat because the food was sold out or the place was full. i really want to apologise for that. I really hope that we have the food and the seats for u. Really thanks for coming down. THANKS PEOPLE FOR THOSE WHO HAD PATRONISE TODAY!

Relatives from china

last week, i meet my relatives from china for the first time(okay considered the first time because the last time they came i think i was only5 years old and had no idea what was going on) haha. they came last week, pick them up at harbour front, brought them to eat. they are not like the usual china people we see in Singapore. They talk softly, very courteous and humble group of people. I think this is the straits of the teochew. :)) i talked to them and felt the closeness with them and have a sudden realisation that they are my blood related relatives. does it really matter where they are from? Even we speak different language but they both parties tried to communicate through mandarin. Probably its the effort that everyone put in to make both parties really feel like we are family. For the first time, i really understand what its so far yet so near. We stayed miles apart, yet we feel as close as sisters, even we only met for that short span of 5 hours. We asked each other for email to contact but that was when we realise that the web we used are totally different, we cant even email each other because they do not have emails. The online systems and webs they used are not common or not heard before in Singapore.

Suddenly, i have a thought, even if i can email them, i typed in english will i be pressurising them to reply in english too? sigh, come to think of it, writing letter seems to be the best way of communication. really hope they will email me soon:D i miss that.I hugged my niece before she entered the transit, i almost cried. She told me to visit them soon, in november. I think its their holidays. i cant, need to save up first. Omg i miss them. good bye! i will visit you all soon alrite! LOVE ALL OF U!!

omg bese test at 6. nth went in. i feel like dying.

This week is so interesting okay. last friday played overnight mahjong and won $27:)) whee.
haha but okay i spent all my money on cab.. :(( erm. saturday had the citytour. no doubt, the 4 of us(cherina, joyce, darren, jj and me) look like the walking dead. yawning the whole day.after that went home and slept for 17 hours! O.O i know i'm piggy lol.

Sunday went to work at SA tours fair and earned some money together with weiting:))
tuesday i was headwaiter. the kiasu me had a 1.5 hour meeting with mr malik and donavon, as well as amanda cos i drag her along. lol. but but the meeting and all the preparation like the super long email is worth it! TUESDAY WE MANAGED TO HIT THE MR GOH'S TARGET. haha which was $100 more than what i targeted. omg! haha thank u my fantastic team for working so well together. I simply love you all. This is one reason why I love ssm:)) the teachers are nice too. no scolding :D hehe. yesterday was really a great ssm day, not only because of hitting the target but i also can see everyone enjoying what they were doing. This gave me a great sense if satisfaction.

one new thing learned today (wednesday). bugis street has directions signs printed on the ground. These prints are huge okay. I think no one noticed because the road is always filled with people. Today susu and I walked through bugis street when no one is there, we realise that bugis street is actually quite huge and there are road signs and zebra crossing on the road! haha another week has passed.
Monday studied so hard for accountings test but the paper was so tough. I think accountings is just not my thing sigh. i once had a friend who promised me that he would teach me accountings but now we are arent even talking. woh. things are just so unpredictable yah.

tuesday ssm I was bartender, haha so totally not prepared for it. I was told last minute so i didnt read up anything on what a bartender should know. Just so glad that everything went well. thanks KX :)) she was suffering from full body muscle ache but she didnt complaint a bit. thanks partner! if not things wouldnt have gone so well :D

thursday was a mad day. i din know that we have to present for the pre-assignment during class. My classmates told me that they will be doing ppt for the assignment i told it was just the way that the teacher wanted it. okay so none of my groups mates had actually prepared for the presentation. When i was in class then i know tat the 2 classmates volunteered to do the ppt because they cannot come tat day. i tot they were refering to meeting tat we were suppose to have on wed morning. On thurday then we realised that the presentation was not fully done because some problems had occurred. I really feel like dying because we had to leave class halfway, sit outside class to finish it. glad that we manage to finish it on time and our teacher was nice as he did not reprimand us for it. That was the only time I actually felt that how horrible one person can feel to rush for last minute work. I was so pissed because i have never been so screwed before. Was just glad that it was only participation marks for the assignment but it must have been a really bad impression made.

Friday was a happy day:)) after accoutings lecture, went sugarloaf to grab a small bite to wait for my godsis to come so we can have lunch at top table. i have waiting to bring her to top table for more than 1 term alr. haha but friday ssm was super screwed. i dont want to elaborate they should know it themselves. i hope they can improve on themselves because they were so screwed that either forgot to hand us the comment form or dont dare to hand us the comment form. i think ssm was a disappoinment because i waited so long to show my godsis the place i was so proud of.. but.. sigh she was veyr encouraging. She did not criticise them but help them to say good words. She even say good stuff about it to her sisters to ask them to revisit the place :D I LOVE HER! now u know how nice she is to me! She is the nicest person to me in the whole wide world. After that we went to my nanny house, played with the little ones and took a small nap before going to forum to meet cynthia, yuyi, darren, joyce, jj, xiangrong, vera for dinner at hardrock. it's a pretty place:) it was really fun that night, found out quite abit of stuff from each one of them that night. xiangrong plays mahjong! hurray! another person that we can ask for our mahjong sessions :D xiangrong jio me out to gym if you r going!! haha

okay saturday study study study. sunday attempted to study but failed. sigh! :( okay tmr is TTO test. i hope i can do well. tues: proficiency test. wish me luck to both tests! jia you bizhi! :D after that i can concentrate on my bese individual assignement alr.

ohh its two weeks since i last posted. haha sorry!
really busy these days. i guessed its just the lack of sleep.
things just pop up right before the day ended and yupp so i cant sleep.
i know everyone else din as well so its fine:))

poof.. all deadlines and tests lined up since two weeks ago.
haha sometimes i just hoped its all in a week. and my life would be slack slack then super busy and SLACK. haha

my sis are just watching sex and the city series these two weeks!
its a fantastic shows that distracts me from studying. omg. haha thats y i'm blogging instead of studying for my acct test which is on tues. I'm going to die alrite. I dont understand anything abt acct and i dont have a little interest abt acct. Save me plss!

by the way i hope i have at least 3 full days so i can finish the series in one go and not miss any episodes but apparently due to all the tests and deadlines to meet. its simply impossible. >.<

omg hectic week! >.<
since last sunday.. slept at 3 because have to rush out service reflection (end up dont have to hand up) -.-!!

monday slept at 2.30 to finish bese ppt and i was suppose to wake up at 4.30 the next morning.. din manage to wake up on time. thanks chernysamy for morning call me. woke up at 630 when i am suppose to reach sch at 7! omg. rush till i almost died, lucky i still made it in time. hahaha tues was a great day. ssm was sooo fun. the vip room was occupied.. so no room for pracs so we were sent to diff station. Amanda and I was sent to press the lift. omg-.-!! lucky mr sim saw us and told us to do outdoor sales instead:) so fun okay:)) haha then the usual cya. supper after cya. din know y i went also when i can blink and fall asleep. its a nice supper. haha okay went home did my cue cards for bese ppt for the rehearse 9pm the next morning till 2.30am.

Wed was a nice day too. geog class canceled. so yt,yuy, cherina, cynthia and 1 went to makan at pizza hut. went back to sch to do BOE proposal, wati and i acc amanda for dinner at 930. reached home at 1130. i think i slept at 2am woke up at 6am for thurs 8am rehearsal, 9am presentation.

Thurs class till 12, did project till 2, went out with trina and went home to sleep. slept from 7am till 7am. completely coma state. haha. energised for sch on fri! whoosh. top table lunch. slack till 4 for ssm lec and went for movie with suhong, barry and kevin for "dont mess with zohan" haha. funny:)) then susu went to my house to do project till 3 am.

Saturday, celebrate yuhan's bday with weiting then went house warming party, watched vcd till 2 am.

sunday a relax day-coffee with weiting and family dinner :)) whoosh. all ready for the next week!

haha today is another interesting day!

Woke up at 8 and went the southern ridges(the newly built longest perdestrain bridge in Singapore). We walked from queenstown area all the way to harbour front. haha 1.5 hours walk, we took a shorter time than we thought:) haha oh btw, this is another primary school classmates outing. I love them! I love that we are so bonded:))

okay then i went home did my project and got a one time off job deal at banquet. okay. really learnt alot of things today, no blunder/mistakes. haha so a pat on my back for myself. haha its not as tough as i thought but i have to agree that it is not easy. haha tiring but at the end of the day, the experience and knowledge learnt is worth it:) oh thanks sengwai(station leader) for guiding us:) haha u r a great leader!

okayy time to rest! i am exhausted! hahaha nites people!

So glad to see dinesh today, he is a better shape than i thought he would be. He got into an accident, so happy to see that he is recovering fast and cant wait to go out with him and Trina soon.

I thought that the interview would be a 4 hours thing but it's just a 10 min thing. haha not as scary as i thought it will be. :)

haha watched indiana jones! I find it pretty nice! the fights, the scenes, the knowledge, the lauguage spoke, the mystery, the hidden codes! rating 4 stars! haha i just find it weird because the crystal skull is from ALIEN?! hahaha okay if not for the alien part, the show is really perfect!

ohh man it is really so hard just to watch my indiana jones 4...!!

the initial plan was to watch it with my godsis.. waited and waited till a time that we are both free- the tickets sold out! then we wait and wait again till thurs.. its not showing at the time we can make it. then we set it on saturday(only cine is showing) then she says she dont want to travel so far down.


I cant wait anymore. Then i started calling everyone to see who can watch with me.. Finally found someone, all tickets sold again. OMG! okay today I just booked tickets and lucky I have got my kind hearted peiting to watch with me even she is not very interested in the show :D i feel so lucky to know her! whee! haha okay I leaving house for my indiana NOW! hahaha so happy!

the first 3 indiana ones was FANTASTIC okay. Find the vcd and watch it! its really nice! thats y its a MUST for me to watch indiana 4! since I watch the first will NOT miss the fourth one!

CHOCOLATE?

7. Those gory scenes in Alfred Hitchcock’s ‘Psycho’, was all chocolate syrup! Although the scene finishes in about 45 seconds, it took 7 days to get that shot done perfectly! Now that’s a sticky plot!

8. Chocolate was re-born in 1879 when Daniel Peter and Henre Nestle introduced milk chocolate to the world. In the same year Rudolphe Lindt introduced the conching process which makes chocolate smooth and soft.

9. Napoleon was great in many ways. Did you know he took chocolate along with him during his military campaigns. Now that was a clever move as chocolate gives you added energy and restores carbohydrates.

10. For all those of you out there dreaming about those chocolate bars, dream away! You can’t blame chocolate for raising your blood cholesterol. Now that’s a fact so eat!Chocolate has changed the way we eat, romance and live. But don’t go overboard as too much of a good thing can be bad!

okayy how can i forget to blog about today!

Friday 13 june.

The initial plan for the day was to meet susu for breakfast at 10,
watch movie and interview at brewerkz at 3. haha but guess wat!
i din manage to wake up. My phone was on silent and i had 7 missed calls.
omg, this has never happened to me!
i shall NEVER put my phone on silent b4 i sleep again!
SORRY susu!

so glad that the muffin made u smile:)) susu is always so nice and nv angry with me! haha love ya! sorry! breakfast change to lunch!

i still have to say the necklace is expensive! but it is nice:)) i cant deny it. haha

today is another fun day!

went interview with amanda. *okay, both of us simply freaked out b4 the interview! lucky we were still quite calm during the interview and did not say anything wrong!* haha

then the 4 of us, susu, me, amanda and edward actually went to subway and played mahjong! hahaha ! omg its damn memorable! so glad that the subway is empty. we were the only customers! omg. so embarrassing! but its FUN yeah! hahahaha

some interesting things for the past few days and i want to note it down:))

Friday 6 june

Felt so lonely when I woke up.
Had no plans until 6 pm.
I called Amanda and susu to ask them to watch kung fu panda!
Its really a nice shows OKAY! Extremely hilarious! Hahaha
“don’t tempt me” , “master wu gui” those who watch this movie should know what so funny about these phrases ah! And of course there’s a lot more!
This is about a panda which had a dream and how things actually turns out the way he WANT but not the way he EXPECTED of course! Hahahaha!

one phrase to learn from the show: "yesterday is history, tomorrow is mystery and today is a gift, that's why it is called present:)" treasure today!
It’s a must watch show! That’s for sure :D

Then I went to junwei’s house warming party! It’s a cosy and nicely decorated house:))

Monday 9 june.

I had project meeting with cherina, kc and cynthia. Ohh cynthia is going m'sia tmr! bon voyage!:))
Then i meet up with amandy to get application form from brewerkz. haha lets cross fingers for us.

haha and we went to find susu and we waited for her to end work at 10..
okay so we had 5 hrs to spend. We shopped ard the whole central, ate subway for dinner ( new think to note, amandy love the tuna in subway, sweet onion and Italian).
OMG and look at we all bought things while shopping! haha
Me: a boyfriend shirt $18 *good buy*, 10 notes strips and 3 A4 printed paper $3.50 haha cant resist! they r just soo cute! haha
Amanda: a mini mahjong set with table and mini poker! they r damn cute okay!
See! omg! we cant resist cute stuff and after that we start to grumble that we r broke! hahaha

those things amanda bought gave us entertainment : we played mj after closing! omg! hahaha an memorable and forgetable incident! haha
*amanda is a FAST learner! really! * :D

Studied with yinghui today :)) (she study while i do project)
Really happy that i can actually study with her! haven really spent quality time with her for soooo long alr! because we r all so busy!
At the same time that i am very glad that i can find someone that i can study/do project with during holiday:D LETS CHEONG TGT!! :D
Lets strive for good results tgt! gambate!

okay and i went for my changi duty after that of course! another fun day:D

Dark chocolates are made without milk as an additive.

Milk chocolate is made with milk powder or condensed milk added. White chocolates are a confection based on cocoa butter without the cocoa solids.

Unsweetened is pure chocolate liquor, also known as bitter or baking chocolate.

Couverture is a term used for chocolates rich in cocoa butter.

Bittersweet is chocolate liquor to which some sugar, more cocoa butter, vanilla and sometimes lecithin has been added. It has less sugar and more liquor than semisweet chocolate.

Compound chocolate is the technical term for a confection combining cocoa with vegetable fat, usually tropical fats and/or hydrogenated fats, as a replacement for cocoa butter.

i do not know what got into me. I just have this urge to start this blog.

Well, it was really a random thing to name it chocolate shavings. haha
